According to the report, Turkish defense firm ASELSAN has introduced the KORKUT 100/25 SB, a mobile counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) built to take on everything from reconnaissance quadcopters to loitering munitions.
The report stated that it was evolving from the company’s KORKUT self-propelled anti-aircraft gun family; the new system blends mobility, precision, and layered defenses into a single package. It is designed to plug the gap between small arms fire and costly missile interceptors, offering a more scalable way to handle low-end aerial threats.
The report said that 100/25 SB’s modular setup allows integration with a range of armored wheeled vehicles, making it adaptable for deployment across different terrain and operational needs.
The report added that with a range beyond 1,000 meters (3,280 feet) and a rate of fire up to 600 rounds per minute, the weapon can saturate swarms and overwhelm fast, maneuvering threats.
In addition, a coaxial 7.62 millimeter machine gun adds extra protection against ground or airborne threats, while a suite of AESA radar, thermal cameras, laser rangefinders, and computerized fire control backs up its firepower. Its AI-powered algorithms help automate detection, tracking, and engagement, cutting operator workload in high-pressure scenarios.
