According to the report, Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu was formally arrested on March 23 over a graft investigation, sparking mass protests across Turkey. A separate terror-related probe did not lead to his arrest. Imamoglu denounced the charges as baseless, vowing resilience. Opposition leaders condemned the move as a political coup. Protests spread to over 55 provinces, with police using tear gas and arrests surpassing 340. President Erdogan labeled the protests “street terrorism,” while the US urged Turkey to uphold human rights and democratic freedoms.
I dont like Turkey's leader, there is something very wrong with him. I think he should be removed. He is a cruel man. Turks are intelligent moral people they will not live under Sheria law they work hard and believe in self-discipline and the rule of law but not religious extremism. If Syria can oust Assad, Turkiye can also do that to Erdogan. Down with the dictator Erdogan!
