The report said that Turkey plans to establish air, naval, and ground force bases in Syria to fight ISIS and assist the new government in building security forces. President Erdogan met Syrian interim leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, discussing cooperation following US and EU sanctions relief. Syria's government visited the Al-Hol camp with US and Kurdish officials. The US envoy praised Syria's progress on foreign fighters and missing Americans. Meanwhile, Syria restructured its interior ministry to combat smuggling and reassure the West after Assad’s ouster.
Turkey, Syria, and Israel should help each other against terrorism. They must work together to achieve peace in the region. However, if this decision of the Turkey President is superficial, most likely, the Turkish President will attack Israel. The ISIS terror groups are hard to annihilate.
