We have to know as business persons the types of business budget. In these hard times, businesses are affected by what is going on in the market globally. It is not only us who suffer but also the world, at least we have to know the types of business budget to prepare for the worst. These are the following:
1. Master budget;
2. Operating budget;
3. Capital budget;
4. Cash budget or flow budget;
5. Labor budget, and
6. Static budget.

I need to pay attention to these types of business budget since I am operating a small business. What about you?

I didn't know budgets can be classified in this ways. Though at the moment I am creating a budget for advertising for my business.

I like the capital budget and the master budget. They are essential once you run a business. Having a capital budget for the next target business to operate is a must. The master budget is the overall budget to be aligned with the ongoing business.

Static budget is made before business activity starts like we make static budget for next year. Static budget is not adjusted to the economic condition that occurs, but after evaluation is given favorable/unfavorable explanation. We can compile static budget from past financial data which is usually preceded by forecast, such as sales forecast used as reference to compile static sales budget.
