According to the report, heavy rains wreaked havoc in England's northern city of Manchester on Wednesday (January 1, 2025), partially submerging vehicles.

The report said that hundreds were forced to evacuate homes and cars submerged up to their roofs on roads and in parking lots. Greater Manchester Police said a major incident was declared in response to the flooding.

It is a devastating flood, I hope, there are no casualties. Flood is a scary thing. I hate floods. There is also a series of flooding in my country but none in the place where I live, thankfully.

Wow, hundreds were forced to evacuate homes and cars submerged up to their roofs on roads and in parking lots. This was a serious one
Yes and my nieces will fly back to UK passing England. I hope the flood subsided this day. It's a scary flood. I hate flood. Even the cute flood on our lawn I hate to look at.

Wow, I never expected the UK to be flooded at all, not to mention to this level. At the beginning of the year for that matter.
I watched the video, it is so scary seeing a baby saved by the people. It is the same kind of flood here people were in a panic saving each other.

What could be causing that ? they need to do something about it if not to stop it completely but to limit the impacts

There was a heavy rain nonestop that resulted to flooding. I thought England has good drainage system. It's not common to their country. I thought there is no flood to experience there.
