According to the report, Ukraine launched a wave of drone attacks on June 8, forcing Moscow’s Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports to temporarily shut after air defences downed 10 drones near the capital, officials said. Russia claimed 61 drones targeted its territory overnight. Separately, a Ukrainian drone operation struck a military train in occupied southeastern Ukraine, reportedly destroying over 100 cars carrying tanks and artillery. Russia said it killed 200 Ukrainian troops and destroyed several military assets in retaliation.
Meanwhile, Ukraine claimed it shot down a Russian Su-35 jet in Kursk, possibly with a US-supplied F-16. This follows Kyiv’s “Operation Spider Web” on June 1, which allegedly damaged over a third of Russia’s strategic bomber fleet.
