According to the report, Ukraine's Armed Forces have every chance to push Russian troops out of the Sumy region, though this will take time, as their advance on this front has been halted. Ivan Shevtsov, head of the press service of the 15th Mobile Border Detachment of the Steel Border Brigade, stated this on Espreso TV."Today, we have every chance to reclaim all territories of the Sumy region occupied by the enemy. The Defense Forces are actively working on this. Several settlements have already been liberated. We are bringing in reserves in this direction and working to destroy the enemy. However, the conditions on this section of the front, especially the type of terrain, do not allow for rapid movement. Certainly, enemy forces in the Sumy direction have already been stopped, and now the Defense Forces of Ukraine are conducting counteroffensive actions," Shevtsov said. The spokesperson added that all settlements in the combat zone in the Sumy region have been destroyed."Right now, beyond Yunakivka, we are trying to drive out the enemy. The area is characterized by a large number of forests. That is why it takes time. It is also worth noting that all settlements in the combat zone have been virtually destroyed.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, he held another meeting of the Sumy Region Defense Council. The focus was on security issues, in particular the implementation of the SafeSky project, which aims to protect against enemy drones that constantly attempt to destroy civilian infrastructure. The Regional Military Administration is working together with military command, technical experts, and monitoring teams to develop effective solutions. Since the beginning of the month, 10 million UAH has been allocated from the regional budget. They already have initial results: personnel assignments have been determined, and Territorial Defense units are undergoing training. Additional groups will soon be formed to strengthen sky protection.
