According to the report, Russia has called Trump’s decision to ramp up arms shipments to Ukraine a signal to Kyiv to abandon peace efforts. Trump on Monday (July 14) announced a toughened stance against Russia over its war in Ukraine, setting out the ceasefire ultimatum and promising a fresh wave of missiles and other weaponry for Kyiv. The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday (July 17) that Moscow "did not accept threats".Meanwhile, a US military general has claimed that NATO allies have developed a plan to seize Russia’s Kaliningrad region "in a timeframe that is unheard of."
However, General Chris Donahue, Commander of the US Army in Europe and Africa, added that the plan will be set in motion only “if necessary.” Donahue, who also commands NATO’s land forces, said allied capabilities now allow them to "take that down from the ground" faster than ever before. The US general also noted that Russia’s Kaliningrad is roughly 47 miles wide and surrounded by NATO on all sides. His remarks come as NATO announced the implementation of a new strategy known as the "Eastern Flank Deterrence Line."
This might anger Putin more. War is escalating, unstoppable.
