According to the report, Israel’s military chief toured Syria’s security zone amid rising violence as the IDF reviewed soldiers’ readiness. Knesset’s security chief said, “Syria must be subordinate to us” and called it “a bridge to the Euphrates.”
The report said that Israel confirmed allowing Syrian Druze and Circassians to work in the Golan Heights. Syria’s new leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, pledged to “hold accountable” those involved in civilian killings, with an “independent committee” set up to investigate. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported 973 civilian deaths since March 6, describing them as “ethnic cleansing operations.” Syria’s foreign minister said the government is “protecting everyone.” Iran condemned attacks on minorities, calling them “unjustified,” while China urged all parties to “immediately stop” the violence.
The Assad loyalists are to blame for the killing. They must surrender their arms and live under the new Syrian government. They must not compromise the lives of the civilians.
