Uniswap’s new proposal to activate fees, burn UNI, and revise governance is stirring debate. Personally, I think it reflects the maturity of DeFi protocols, moving beyond experimentation into structured systems. What surprises me is the boldness of combining economic incentives with governance reform. For me, the most important aspect is balance—fees must sustain the ecosystem without discouraging users. I believe burning UNI could strengthen token value, but governance changes will determine long-term trust. In the end, this proposal is a reminder that DeFi is evolving, and protocols must adapt to remain relevant in a competitive landscape.
