The American government under Trump has presented the One Big Beautiful Bill to the legislature and it is expected that the bill would be passed soon. The bill rings changes to students loan in the United States.

The main changes is that courses that are not professional courses would only be eligible for $20k student loan a year. While the professional courses students would be able to get $50k student loan a year.

Hello everyone, regarding the One Big Beautiful Bill, I believe it's a significant change that could greatly affect students in the United States. Limiting student loans to only $20,000 for non-professional courses and increasing them to $50,000 for professional courses seems like a way to prioritize careers with greater job and economic potential. However, I'm also concerned that this could discourage those who want to pursue non-traditional careers or those not considered "professional" but which still contribute significantly to society, such as the arts, social sciences, or humanities. Furthermore, limiting loans could make it difficult for many students to finance their studies, especially at expensive universities. I hope the government will also consider alternatives to support all students, regardless of their chosen field of study, because education is not only an investment for the individual but also for the country as a whole.
