US deporting 120 Iranians after deal struck with Tehran, Iran says

Iran claims 120 of its nationals are being deported from the United States as part of President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown. "These individuals will return to the country within the next one or two days," Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Hossein Noushabadi told Iran's main news source, Tasnim. He stated that the majority of people being flown to Iran via Qatar had entered the United States illegally, primarily through Mexico. In recent years, an increasing number of Iranians have entered the United States, many of whom fear persecution back home.
