According to the report, a major escalation has begun as President Donald Trump orders a powerful naval strike force toward Venezuela, marking a turning point in America’s war against drug cartels. On August 7, 2025, the US doubled its reward for Nicolás Maduro to $50 million — the same figure once offered for Osama bin Laden. The deployment includes three Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, an attack submarine, P-8 spy planes, and over 4,000 Marines. The move follows years of tension, indictments of Maduro on narco-terrorism charges in 2020, and billions in seized assets.
