Using a UPS or stabilizer

Erratic power supply can damage electronics, especially computer motherboards. Do you use a UPS or stabilizer for your electronic and electrical appliances or do you connect them directly to the power supply?

I use stabilizer. My dad's flat screen TV just got badly damaged by current because it was always connected to the power source directly.
