Using autoplay videos to monetize websites

I have noticed that a large number of news websites are using auto play videos for monetization. Though these videos are inconvenient for the visitor who finds that their bandwidth/data is getting over quickly, more online publishers are opting for this option. Does any use auto play videos for monetization?

I find autoplay video ads very intrusive, these ads will slow down websites. Therefore, I do not use them in my websites
