Vacation by camping or favorite location?

Which would you rather do when you vacation, camp or go to the place you would love to vacation at for a week or more?

I personally would rather camp if I had the right equipment, but being in a hotel in a city I want to vacation in would be easier to deal with.

Camping isn't trending here because of insurgencies. We only have picnics beside a sandy shore. I had a vacation in Auckland 13 times for 3 weeks each every summer this time no more.

I have never been camping, but I am eager to try it out someday. In certain areas, some hotels offer glamping, which seems like a safer option than camping in the wilderness. I think it would be a fun experience. Hehehe
