Venezuela’s former oil minister Tareck El Aissami has been arrested for involving in an international scheme of stealing hundreds of millions of dollars from the country’s state oil company.

He was charged as part of the government to fight against corruption against more than 50 people, including some of Venezuela’s most important political and business figures.

It does not come as a shocking news anymore. Seems like a global phenomenon and we keep hearing about such news from every corner of the world. Power and money has the ability to corrupt any one. It is unfortunate that the world has very few honest politicians and leaders, who actually care about the nation and common people. Most of them will end up being corrupt.

Corruption is everywhere these days. People sitting on the top positions ofter ask for bribe and full their pocket. It's hard for a common people to always bribe people in the government sector even for the small work.
Earlier, it was said that the officials on lower ranks don't get enough salary abd have to take the bribe to support their livelihood. But despite the revised salary and they getting a good salary, the system continues. Once corruption comes in any system, it is very hard to get rid off it. It just becomes the fabric of the entire ecosystem. Very few true and honest people are able to stay untouched from it and they have a lot to go through mentally to stay in that system.

Whereas I have noticed that corruption has reduced to some extent but still it has not eliminated fully from our system. For the growth of the country it needs to fully eliminated.
