According to the report., the residence of the Argentine ambassador in Caracas has turned into a "prison" for critics of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Five team members of opposition leader Maria Machado have been sheltering in the house for the past nine months, fearing persecution.

The report said that they sought political asylum after being accused of terrorist activities and treason. However, their life became more difficult after Maduro proclaimed victory in the disputed presidential election. He also broke diplomatic ties with Argentina and kicked out the country's envoy.

The report added that The five asylum seekers say they are now under "siege" by Venezuelan security forces.

It is a shame and embarrassing that Venezuela is infested with corruption , high crime rate, and rampant poverty in spite of being an oil producing country and so rich in natural resources.
