It's tough seeing how the situation in Venezuela keeps affecting people, even here in Finland. The Venezuelan community here is still really split about what's happening back home. To me, what stands out is how those old political disagreements just follow people into exile. It's like, you can leave the country, but you can't leave behind the arguments.

Honestly, it's heartbreaking to see families torn apart by this, even when they're living in another country. You'd think being away from Venezuela might bring people together, but it seems to make the divisions even sharper.

What I find kind of shocking is just how heated the discussions get, even in a place like Helsinki. You wouldn't expect people to be so passionate, so far away from everything, but they really are. It just shows how deeply people care about what's going on.

If you ask me, the best thing we can do right now is try to get people talking to each other. It's not about agreeing on everything, but about at minimum listening to each other's viewpoints. When you can't even agree on what the problems are, forget solving anything.

I do think Finland gives a good, secure environment for these kinds of discussions to happen. People here are generally respectful, and there's space for different opinions. It's not a magic cure, but it's a start. Hopefully, by talking things out, maybe some of those old wounds can start to heal, even little by little. It's a long process, but it's gotta start somewhere.
