Several people including vigilantes were allegedly k!lled in a military airstrike in Tungar Area of Zamfara State. Nigeria
The incident occurred on Saturday evening, January 11, 2025, as local vigilantes were heading to assist neighbours in Tungar Kara village, which had come under attack by bandits.
The vigilante group mobilised after receiving reports of bandits rustling livestock and attempting to abduct villagers.
An aircraft suddenly appeared in the area and dropped a bomb on the vigilantes. The bandits had already escaped into the forest. 16 people, were k!lled in the airstrike.
