Virgin Australia domestic flight was delayed for two hours at Melbourne Airport on Tuesday, July 1, after a green tree snake was discovered in the cargo hold, causing a brief scare among crew and passengers preparing to board.


Flight VA337, scheduled to depart for Adelaide, was grounded after ground staff spotted the unexpected stowaway. Unsure whether the snake was venomous, the airline called in professional snake catcher Mark Pelley, who swiftly responded to the scene
