I want to start live streaming my studio sessions. And I want to know the tools that I need to get to be able to make live streaming possible? Would I be needing a camera to get quality live streaming or a smartphone can do?

You don’t need special software for most setups. Usually, you just plug the external mic into your phone’s headphone jack or USB-C/lightning port, depending on the mic. If you want to start live streaming studio sessions, you can use your modern phone with a clean mic and good lighting, but if you want high quality, a camera and capture card are more suitable. The audio must be clean because people forgive average video but bad sound kills the vibe. A stable internet connection is also a must. As the Swahili proverb says, prevention is better than cure.
