Website Design: Creativity or Functionality?

When building a website, what do you think matters more — a creative, eye-catching design or smooth, user-friendly functionality? Can a site succeed with just one, or do both need to go hand in hand?

Functionality is the main thing, creativity is secondary, a super creative website is useless if it works very badly, you will lose all your few users, so you must base yourself first on functionality, then on creativity and website design.
