What actually caused your business failure?

Most businesses fail some time after being opened because of different reasons. Most of them being lack of market and business patronization in generally. For instance what exactly led to the failure for your business?

My business seemed to move slowly because I didn't do enough marketing to promote the business and get more customers. I fixed that and the business picked up again.

My last business was a dairy farm, my cattle started to die, so my milk sales went down and I was unable to pay the loan

I do not own a business. But I think most business fails because of lack of sales due to changing customer demands or the economic situation is not well.
