What are the main challenges facing the webmastering currently?

Currently, the webmastering venture is growing at a slower pace compared to like five years back? What do you think could be the most common reasons for that.

I do not know about other webmasters but for me the main problem is building userbase and keeping the user base active.

I have find that webmasters spend a lot in the setting everything up on the websites with very little rewards coming forth at the end of the tunnel due to reduced ad revenues.

I think the main challenge facing the webmastering currently is staying up to date with rapidly changing technology.

The fall of the ad revenue ever since the last couple of years is a very great reason for that
