What are the often salient cost that a business has to face?

We all know the cost of paying salary and getting raw materials to be the big costs that businesses have to face. There are other salient costs though that businesses chest on a regular. What are those salient cost that might go unnoticed but businesses have to chest them?

The Salient cost that I always face is the cost to renew my operational license every year. No one talks about it but we face it everyday.

Inventory: Businesses that sell products must manage the cost of purchasing and storing inventory.
