This time, I can only buy two kilos of fish for my $6. The fish I bought was not my favorite fish Tuna. There is no Tuna fish sold in the Public market. It's where I bought the fish thinking the price is cheaper but to my amazement, I was wrong. Anyway the fish is big in size good to grill. My sister grilled 4 fishes for our dinner dipped in a chili sauce. We're all full this evening. Sometimes I'm pondering if the prices will go down to normalcy. Let's just pretend that we don't know the prices of some commodities.

Maybe this might be enough to buy just one fish here or some pork meat, with today's economy, six dollars is not even enough to buy anything reasonable.

Your prices there are more abnormal than ours here. How could an ordinary people survive if the prices there almost reach the sky?

In my country, $6 is enough to eat around 4 times at a food stall, buy 7 liters of gasoline, watch a movie at a cinema for two people, or get a men's haircut at the cheapest salon, hang out at a cafe, invest in mutual funds or crypto etc.

What a naughty $6 , it can buy many things there . It seems your country is not affected much with the high cost of everything. The prices here are suffocating.

In my country, the price of basic necessities is relatively stable, the government is obliged to maintain price stability if it does not want to be protested by students,
What a good move of the students there. Indeed, the youths are the hope of the nation. Our commodities here are skyrocketing.

Students will be very concerned with their mothers' complaints, so students also often hold demonstrations to reduce prices, especially for basic food items.

It is not happening here in my country students to do a demonstration or protest against the government. When there is a protest, it s rare and the issue will be all about high cost of commodities.

That's the major issues we are going through now, things are pretty hard but God has been faithful though.

That's so worrisome but hopefully that would be solved by the government. It's so crucial to survive prices skyrocket while the income of the people seem don't exist.

I hope the government does something, but then again no one is even putting their hope on the government any longer.

In my country, people blame Marcos for the high cost of commodities, which are unstoppable, unlike during the Duterte administration, he can control problems in the Philippines like crimes.

Same here, my friend. In fact, fish is more expensive than pork here. However, I still prefer fish over red meat for health reasons. What I do is cook in batches so I can enjoy it for the following days.
Yes, and $5 a kilo of fish is not a branded fish like Tuna, maybe Galonggong he he. The smaller fish are also expensive. We have to tighten our belts this time.
