What do you do when expected payments are delayed?

So many people are bound to receive payments from one source or the other. It could be from our jobs or contracts executed. What do you do when payments are delayed?

If the delay gets longer and longer l would submit a support ticket for more clarification on that issue.

We cannot do anything if payment is delayed from a site except complaint it with the admin whereas if offline payment is delayed we can ask the owner for the reason.

In my work, I never experience delayed pay. They are sending the pay in advance. Downside of the advance pay is that it gets consumed earlier as well. So need to do careful budgeting.

I am a freelancer. This happens to me once in a while but not often. I usually would send an email to my client as a reminder that I have not yet received payment from him/her. If there is no response, I will give him/her a call. If I receive no response from him/her, I will go to the Small Claims Tribunal for help.
