What do you do when someone asks for a quotation for a large scale you have not operated in before?

A client that is based outside the country called me to ask for quotation to supply 500 pieces of fabrics shipped from my country to her country. I couldn't give her a response because that scale is too large for me. How do I get the quotation to send to her?

You just need to reach out to people that are more experienced and advanced in the business to strike a partnership for that.

In cases like this, i simply seek help from people who have more experience than me in this field to help me out in anyway they can.

If a client has asked you for a large quotation for fabrics and you find the scale is heavy, you can handle it by talking to large suppliers or wholesalers to get them a bulk price. Then calculate the shipping cost and taxes. Adding all that together, you create your quotation. You can also talk to freight forwarders to help you estimate transport and delivery. Once you have those figures, you can respond to the client without stress and the quotation becomes completely realistic.

I already know the quotation of the capacity that I currently operate, so, I would just relate it with the capacity that I am conversant with, get an estimate, and tell the client.
