Many people have different reasons for upgrading their phones each year. Some are excited by the idea of getting a new phone, while others do it to maintain a certain social status. Do you upgrade your phone every year? In my case, I don't. I believe upgrading annually is unnecessary and not practical.

I also can't change my phone every year. There are people who like to have a new device every now and then, maybe because of the new technology or the modern look. But in my case, as long as my phone works well, I'm in no hurry to change.

There are those who do it because of status or social pressure. But the truth is that a new phone doesn't mean more success. It's better to use what you have well and invest in more profitable things.

Like you said there are different reasons why they do this. For some it's simply just a matter of protecting their ego or pride. They want people to see that they are using the latest.

Some people are making plenty of money, so they upgrade their phone every year. Online investors, workers making a loss cannot afford to upgrade their phones every year.

Some people are lucky enough to make plenty of money because they are well connected, so they can afford to purchase the latest smartphones, which are expensive.
Yes changing your phone every year requires money and the truth of the matter is that not everyone can actually afford this on the long run.
