Even though the main goal of a business is to make a profit, this does not mean it can do anything, such as cheating, unfair competition, which can harm consumers. This is why business ethics are needed for entrepreneurs. Business ethics are unwritten rules that entrepreneurs must apply as a basis for behavior and norms in running their business. If business people comply with business ethics, they will undoubtedly be able to increase consumer trust and increase business value. So, in your opinion, what ethics should an entrepreneur have?

That right you need to be honest to your clients and customers. Be a dedicated business owner
Yes, these days we have so many entrepreneurs who are just after making money, hence they do not care about their clients or their satisfaction.

Which is a very bad approach to dealing with customers. it is good to be open and embrace your customers to an extent

I had similar issue with my boss back then. He was complaining that I was telling customers we don't have the materials for their job, even when we really don't have it.

Integrity is the formost ethics a business owner must have. Another ethics an entrepreneur must have is chrisma and diplomacy. Some entrepreneurs are always moody and have no chrisma to entertain a customer.
I agree with you, an entrepreneur must have high integrity, so that he has qualities and traits that show ability and potential that can radiate authority. must always be cheerful towards customers (not gloomy) so that customers feel at home.

In the tech and internet sector in some countries only businesses and business owners without any ethics, honesty and humanity are allowed to flourish. Honest business owners are criminally defamed, cheated, exploited and robbed.

He wanted you to be dishonest when it was even glaring to the clients. The best bet would have been him supplying the materials than trying to live a lie
