What forum script is best for a new forum owner

If you have to suggest a forum script to someone who is starting a forum for the first time, what would you suggest? Well, I would suggest him to try open source as he will not lose money in a situation he ends of closing the forum

I would easily recommend Vanilla Forums to someone starting a forum for the first time. It is easy to set up and manage for admins.

MyBB and Vanilla. Both are free and open-source.

Using MyBB is easy for new forum owners. Vanilla forums is bit hard to use and also hard to convert to other premium forum software.
