What happened during Maundy Thursday?

Holy Thursday is a significant day in the Christiaan faith . commemorating the Last Super of Jesus with His disciples. Jesús and His disciples gathered for a Passover meal, which is a Jewish celebration of freedom from slavery in Egypt. During this meal, Jesus performed a profound act . He broke bread and shared it with His disciples, saying " Take , eat, this is my body." He also took a cup of wine and said., " Drink from it , all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant , which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." This act is known as the institution of the Eucharist, a central sacrament in Christianity were bread and wine are believed to be transformed into the body and blood of Christ.

Holy Thursday serves as a reminder of Jesus ' sacrifice , His love for humanity, and the importance of humility and the service. It is a day for reflection and preparation for the events of Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
