In the situation that a couple jointly owned and ran a business, what would happen to the business if the couple can't stay together as a couple?

Is it ever possible for the business to survive the couple's personal problems or the business would likely crash?

I think there should be the partnership deep that must take its course in the case of break ups.
This is why there should always be agreement expressly stated on papers so that they parties follow through if there's a split in the future

It all depends on the understanding level of the couples. Moreover, it still depends on the judicial system of a country where thr business is located. In most African countries, the man will have upper hand while in European, the man will be at the receiving end.

The thread is talking about a business and not assets. If it is a business, the court would most likely give them equal stakes in the business unless they can convince the court why the person should have a higher stake.

Would you agree to sign an agreement before marriage about a possible split in the future? I am asking because most ladies won't sign that.

Why not this is why some people have prenuptial agreement. it even Davies the ladies more. it's even the men that don't like to sign as the lady might gain a lot of their assets.
