I had my first relationship when I was 18 or 19 years old, and it lasted for eight years. My partner at that time cheated on me because he got bored with the relationship. The third party involved was his coworker at the gasoline company where they worked as call center agents. Since he was my first love, I begged him to stay despite his affair. However, when I later realized that it wasn't worth fighting for, I decided to break up with him. He regretted his actions and continued to contact me for a few years afterward. I've learned that it's not good to beg someone to stay; it's vital to know your worth.

I also learnt the same lesson. Another thing I learnt from my last relationship was that no matter what, one needs to learn how to control their emotions.

I learned not to fully trust the person I give my love. It was the hardest ordeal of my young love at the young age of 17, I was about to get married. My parents and siblings disapproved of my idea but God did not want me to land a serious commitment because the guy had another girlfriend, he was cornered by the girl and forced to marry her. Everything happens for a reason.

It can be difficult to fully trust someone, especially if they have a history of cheating. I sincerely hope you all find someone who will really love and appreciate you. We deserve to be treated with the love, care, and respect we deserve.

Like they say, a trust once broken can never be regained or in most cases it can be truly hard to fix it back.
