What is a hidden Wifi network

Usually the name of a wifi network is visible in the vicinity of the network. However sometimes the network name is not available, it is displayed as "hidden wifi network" in the list of wifi networks. How to trace who the hidden wifi network belongs to?

As far as the network doesn't have an identity, it is not possible for you to trace whose network it is. I don't know if there is a special software to trace though but is it even worth installing a software?

Hidden Wifi network means that the wifi owner does not want to share the network ID, meaning that all devices cannot find the hidden wifi. If you are using a laptop device and Windows 10 OS then you also need to know the SSID and password.
