What is meant by Alice in Wonderland Syndrome? Alice in Wonderland syndrome is a fascinating and sometimes confusing condition. It is named after the famous book because it involves distortion of perception, similar to what Alice experienced in the story. People with distorted perceptions experience changes in their perception of size, shape, and distance. Objects might appear bigger or smaller than they actually are, or might seen closer or farther away. The person also imagines seeing a door that looks like its shrunk to half its size, or your own hands appearing giant.

The exact causes are still being investigated, but it is often associated with migraines, viral infections, sleep deprivation, certain medications, or epilepsy. It is important to note that AWS is not a mental illness or a sign of serious neurological damage, however, it can be quite disconcerting and might interfere with the daily life of the person himself and his family.

This is my first time hearing about this type of condition, but from the explanation, the name actually fits.
Yes and those who suffer in this syndrome needs a help. Their perception is distorted. They see things not their actual size or shape. It's a scary sickness. The person sick of this might always feel afraid seeing things not at their normalcy.
