There are very different kinds of productive endeavors that people engage into. And for different motives too. I want to know if there is a difference between a job and a career. What are the things that differentiate them?

A job is mostly a specific task a person does to make money, it is usually short term, a career on the other hand is something a person does long term to make money.

A job is usually a short-term role you take primarily for income—think clocking in, completing assigned tasks, and moving on when it no longer meets your needs. A career, by contrast, is a long-term professional journey: it involves ongoing skill development, advancement opportunities, and alignment with your passions or goals. In essence, jobs pay the bills; careers build your future and personal growth.
