Crowdfunding is a funding platform for a particular business unit or project by attracting/collecting money from the public. The concept of crowdfunding first appeared in America in 2003, with a site called Artistshare, where American musicians sought funds from their fans so they could work harder and produce more songs. After Artistshare succeeded in collecting funds from its fans, other crowdfunding sites emerged such as Kickstarter, Gofundme, etc.
But unfortunately when I read the crowdfunding article I found terms that I didn't understand, namely security crowdfunding and equity crowdfunding, so can you explain the difference between these two terms?
