I have been seeing OLED Screens and Mini LED screens being regularly used in adverts of TVs and laptop screens. It seems they are the newest kinds of screens used these days.

What is the main difference between OLED screens and MINI LED screens?

The main difference between OLED and Mini LED screens lies in how they generate the image and their backlighting technology. OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) screens have pixels that emit their own light, meaning each pixel can turn on and off individually. This allows them to offer deeper blacks, better contrast, and wider viewing angles. On the other hand, Mini LED screens use a backlight of tiny LEDs that illuminate the screen from behind. While they also offer good image quality, they don't achieve the same level of black and contrast as OLED, but they typically have advantages in peak brightness and durability. In short, OLEDs offer better black levels and contrast, ideal for movies and visual content, while Mini LEDs tend to be brighter and more durable, ideal for bright environments and general use.
