Brand is a common parlance in the business world. You would hear most people talking about their brands and how they have built it.

What is the major difference between owning a brand and owning a business? Is it that when one owns a business x they automatically own brands?

A business is about the tangible, while a brand is about the intangible, Owning a business means owning the operational structure, assets, and products or services offered to customers, while owning a brand means possessing the emotional and psychological associations that people have with a business.

Although these two terms between brand and business are often applied together, they have very different concepts. A brand is simply a visual identity that is useful for distinguishing similar products, while a business is an economic activity in both trade and industry,
