What is the highest amount that you have spent on a single piece of clothing and what kind of clothe was it?

I have actually spent up to $40 on a dress and I feel it was worth it. The clothe has lasted for more than 2 years now.

I have spent $200 for a formal dress to participate in my brother's wedding. The material is good and I like the design. I am still keeping it in case I need to wear it on special occasions.
