Bitcoin halving is an event where mining rewards are halved and will occur every 210,000 blocks or every 4 years.
When Bitcoin was mined for the first time (2009) miners got a reward of 50 Btc and each halving would be reduced by 50% and in 2012 it was 25 Btc and so on every 4 years it was reduced by 50% until miners only got a reward of 1 satoshi or 0.00000001 Btc and this would happen in around 2140. Bitcoin halving would mean low supply of bitcoins because less bitcoin would be mined. This would results in the the scarcity of the bitcoin hence the prices would skyrocket. higher up.
