When we have phones, there are some futures that we are not allowed to access on the phone, and there are some apps that we can't install on our phones due to the security system. If we root our phone, then we can do all those restricted things.
I believe it is also referred to as "jailbreaking." I gave permission to have my phone jailbroken once, but I soon realized that it is not safe. It could allow unauthorized individuals to access my phone, so I decided not to do it again.
The reason that most people root their phones is to remove all the restrictions that the manufacturer had put, so they can tweak the phone as they want.
Rooting of phone can make the device vulnerable and easy to access. I believe the benefits is not to compare the likely unpleasant consequences. Therefore, while rooting of phone may have some advantages, it may make the security features easy to tweak.
