What is the safest place to invest your funds except the bank

Banks can be untrustworthy in keeping your money safe, someone works for their money everyday waking up so they can save for rainy days, then comes a fraudster whose willing to take all of your hard work for his/her selfish reasons.

I know someone who doesn't go to the bank but keeps his money under the bed (lol) it's not safe either unless there is a secret safe to hard your money,besides the fraud people are running away from bank fees and paper work but I think if you have a concrete plan to save your cash other than the bank then good for you.

I guess investing in gold and property is safer than anything else as rate of both the things always increase.

Banks are very expensive nowadays even to invest there is one process to the other..I believe that real estate is the way to invest in(property)
