What is the standard number of years that apprenticeship in auto mechanic lasts in your country?

Every craft has a stipulated time for someone to run an apprenticeship in that craft and gain mastery. Of course, that is subject to all conditions being equal.

What is the standard number of years that someone is expected to gain mastery after being an apprentice in an auto mechanic craft?

I think because of the high technicalities of the auto mechanic craft, someone has to spend at least four years to learn as an apprentice.

For those going to learn under someone and not from an institution, i don't think there is a specific number of years, they usually come to an agreement to teach you within a specific period of time.

I think that apprenticeship in auto mechanic should last for a minimum of four years. That would help the apprentice to know much.

My cousin that has a big mechanic shop used three years to be an apprentice in the auto mechanic trade.

Auto mechanic is too technical and apprenticeship in it should not be less than four years for someone that is exceptionally fast in learning.

I think in Nigeria it is about 4 years now. but if you learn faster you can leave before then if you can't possibly continue
