What is your favorite open source forum platforms?

I have used SMF, phpBB and MyBB to create forums. All of these forum platforms are good but my personal favorite is SMF. What about you? Have you used open source forum platforms? What is your favorite platform?

My favorite open source forum platform is the phpBB.

It sounds like you've tried three major platforms and that's an interesting thing. SMF is very popular for its ease of use and simple design. Many people like it because of its community support and its plugins that are easy to add.

I've seen people using Discourse too and they really like it. Although it's a little different from SMF, it looks more modern. phpBB is also old but still powerful. MyBB is lightweight and works well for small projects. Each has its advantages.

There really isn't one platform that's best for everyone. It depends on your needs and the type of community you want to build. The key is to choose what works for you and stick with it. Success comes with dedication.
