As long as human beings exist, there is need for food. It seems it is the greatest variable in our expenses as food is pretty expensive to purchase.

The challenge is that if you spend too much of your income eating, only your body would grow. Other parts of your life wouldn't grown. What percentage of a person's income should be budgeted and committed to feeding?

The most expensive thing in my country is food, and for peoples like me who get monthly salary its hard to eat outside so i prepare my food in my home and to be honest there is no limit that i spend no food because the price goes up every time.

Food is a essential part of life and it's very necessary for our health but in my case most of my income goes to house maintenance. I do spend on food but not much.

At home, we spend so much on food, We do not count the percentage but the demand of our needs. The prices of commodities never go down but up and it seems annoying prices already.
That's the reason it's becoming difficult to manage finances because of inflation.

It is difficult to estimate now because of rising inflation in Nigeria and other countries. But i believe, Nigeria's case is more painful and very pathetic. The price of foodstuffs in Nigeria increases on daily basis. How can you estimate such expenditure. I bough a loaf of bread in the morning at price of 1100 naira and in the evening, the price shoot up to 1400 naira.

I am not sure of the exact percentage, but I believe that a substantial portion of my budget goes towards food, as it is a basic necessity. I usually eat twice a day, but on occasions when I have some extra money to spare, I tend to have some snacks in between.
