The cost of transportation has more than doubled in recent times and people have to spend more of their money paying their way. Even car owners have to buy gas at very high rates. What are the practical measures that you have taken to minimize and manage your transportation expenses?

To reduce the cost of transportation, I usually walk down to most of the places I go to. If I can't walk it all through, I will simply walk half of it.

That is too much walking half of the distance. Indeed the cost of everything this time doubles. There were times I commuted instead of driving my car when the gasoline was too expensive. I spent $ 200 a month for gasoline. I have to budget for it.

Wow $200 a month is on the high side here in my country. Let's just pray the price of things would go down again in the future.

Fuel prices are rising in my country. The thing is that I personally don't have much commuting to do except on contracts that people give me. And they take care of the transportation for such contracts.

I do not drive because driving own car is expensive here. Gasline in expensive, parking is expensive. I just take public transporation.
I think that at this level, one really has to be in the upper middle class to be able to own and maintain a car. They don't charge for parking though on my country.

The gasoline soared up like crazy. It's only a very few times gasoline lowers, most of the time up. My friend sold her Revo she cannot anymore afford to pay the gasoline. She save the sale of her car, She's planning to invest her money to let it multiply.

I go out every 10 to 15 days to reduce the cost of transportation.

Over here most people have not sold their cars, but they now make use of public transports just to move around.

In my new country, I never purchase a car, as its maintenance is shamefully expensive, costing 3 or 4 times more compared with my former country. I go on foot to all places I need to reach (considering I live in a neighbourhood counting on various facilities) and I rarely call for an UBER.
