I run multiple wordpress websites and I use Jetpack for security, it handles everything from site protection to analytics. It immediately sends me email notifications if my website goes offline. The best thing is it is free to use. I have also used Wordfence in the past and it is also a good security plugin to be used for free on wordpress websites.
